AZHIN has:

• formed a cooperative governing group, composed of representatives from member institutions formally committed to maintaining and expanding the services and products available through AZHIN;
• developed access procedures making the databases available via the Internet;
• supported itself financially through cost sharing and grant funds;
• begun the process of informing potential and actual users of the system about its utility and opportunities, and training participants to use the Internet, AZHIN services and databases; and
• created a calendar of current continuing education opportunities for health care professionals.
